You did it—now let’s celebrate!

Join the library for a free day of fun at the Denver Zoo and Conservation Alliance. 
Enjoy amazing animals, explore with friends and family, and celebrate your Summer of Adventure success!

We are celebrating as a big library community on August 9th. Come meet the Bookmobile, library staff, and other DPL families all together. From 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Sign up for Summer of Adventure, complete your Adventure Guide, and earn a FREE ticket to the Denver Zoo and Conservation Alliance.

Plan Your Visit

Choose Your Day:

  • OPTION 1: Choose the best day for you
  • Completion tickets are valid through December 31, 2026.
  • Make sure your friends, family, and good weather can all join the fun.
  • OPTION 2: Join library staff and the Bookmobile on August 9th to celebrate as a big DPL community.

Getting There:

  • Free parking is available in the zoo’s lots and parking garage.
  • Use RTD’s free youth bus rides during August.
  • Note: Children under 16 must be accompanied by someone 18 or older.

When You Arrive:

  • Enter through the Main Entrance. Look for Denver Public Library signs and staff.
  • Don’t worry if you forget your invitation—we’ll have your name on our list!

What to Wear:

  • It will be hot! Bring hats, sunscreen, and water.

Tips for Your Visit

Food:

  • You can bring your own food or purchase meals/snacks at the zoo. View options at Denver Zoo Dining.

Accessibility:

  • Restrooms with baby changing stations, nursing rooms, and family-friendly facilities are available.

Weather:

  • The event is rain or shine, so come prepared!
  • Completion tickets are valid through December 31, 2026. 

Best Time to Visit:

  • Mornings or early afternoons are less crowded.

Special Appearances

  • Meet Denver Public Library staff and the Bookmobile!
  • Visit Denver Public Schools' Registration Bus.
  • Enjoy the zoo animals and meet the zookeepers!
