The Denver Public Library’s Summer of Adventure program invites youth from birth through 12th grade to learn, grow, and have fun all summer long!

When school is out, DPL provides exciting opportunities to explore, create, and discover—whether at the library, in the community, or right in your own neighborhood. Meet experts, try new activities, and find fresh ways to enjoy reading with books, eBooks, and audiobooks.

Through hands-on experiences, Summer of Adventure helps youth of all ages and abilities build academic skills, develop creativity, and strengthen social-emotional growth - all while having a blast.

And best of all? It’s FREE and made just for YOU!

How to Register

June 1 - August 10

Summer of Adventure is here!

Register anytime through August 10 and explore a season filled with exciting events, reading inspiration, book giveaways, hands-on STEM activities, nature discovery, teen workforce opportunities, and meaningful connections for all ages.

Prize pickup begins June 2 and continues through August 10.

Beginning June 1, register online or at your local library. Summer of Adventure Guides, Reading lists, and prizes will be available for pick-up at all branch locations.

Celebrate your Summer of Adventure achievement at the Denver Zoo and Conservation Alliance! Complete your Summer of Adventure Guide to earn a FREE ticket to DZCA. Come see amazing animals with friends, family, and library staff! Join us Saturday, August 8th to celebrate the end of a successful summer.

Join us as a big library community on August 8th - OR - choose a day that works best for you and your family.

Completion tickets can be used any day between June 2nd and December 31, 2026.
