This year we celebrate 150 years of Colorado statehood, but the history of this land and its people goes back much further.
For thousands of years, Indigenous peoples- including the Ute Tribes- have lived, hunted, farmed, and built communities here. Over time, Colorado has been shaped by many events and people, from gold rushes and labor movements to acts of courage, creativity, and change.
